Warpy 1080P Video?

This video shows how bad the "jello"/"warping" effect can get on the g-nex. apparently, the guy is gently wobbling the camera and you can tell that the phone instantly triggers an image stabilization function where it shows the warping/jello effect. pretty odd.

Yes, that is an excellent demonstration of the problem. It's got to be an image stabilization isue, IMHO, which makes me hopeful it is just software that could be disabled to eliminate the effect.

In a follow-up video, the same user created another video but now using a third party camera application called "IgCamera". and in this video, the image stabilization issues were non-existent. i'm hoping this means that the image stabilization issues in the stock camera app can be rectified in a future software update.

That ices it for me. I was convinced that it was a problem with image stabilization during clip recording, and this proves it can be resolved by software, presumably by disabling stabilization. That is great news, I think.

The other positive in this and all the other GN videos I've seen is that they don't seem to suffer from frame dropouts, so that, aside from the jello effect, there isn't any jerkiness in the movement, which would be noticeable especially in clips with cars moving or slow panning. I've coped with that problem always in my DX clips, and in every smartphone recording I've seen preceding the GN.
