Warranty or returns?

I'm about to bite the bullet and pre order a 16 gig Nexus 7.


A couple of questions though. Will they be selling this in retail stores? Why I ask is easier return policy.

What is the nexus return policy? What if its defective after a month or so. Do I have to pay to re ship it or do Google or Asus ship it for free.

I work for Costco currently and it just reminds me how effortless the return policy is in stores.I really want the tablet, soon. lol I'm just thinking for the long run.

Looks like Asus will cover warranty

For the Galaxy Nexus, Google sent you a new unit if there was a problem with yours in the first 15 days. After 15 days, the manufacturer handles any problems.

A 1-year warranty is pretty good, especially on an Android device.

So far not yet. According to the ever precise Gizmodo, they're losing a decent chunk of change on it as is (selling directly) so selling from a box store will be rubbing salt in the wound.

Highly doubtful. Um guessing that moving forward, all nexus devices will be sold direct from them in the US
