Was it all worth it?

Love the phone, and with the ease with which you can hack around with this thing, its gonna be tough for me to ever buy a non nexus device

Hell yes. Android and iOS both were starting to get stale. This feels fresh and focused, much more than a coat of paint. Very pleased.

I'm in phone heaven now whereas yesterday with the Palm Pre + I was in phone hell.

So far happy, while the incredible server me well it has some major bugs (low space issue) and it is nice to have a fast phone with a larger screen. It will take a bit of getting used to and finding a belt holster will be interesting.

It really is amazing how much of an upgrade this phone is from my droid charge.

Anyone have any opinions on volume level? Speaker quality? I will get mine by 3pm tomorrow but I have read the volume is terribly low but installing volume+ helps. Anyone unhappy with the ringer/alarm/speakerphone volume?

Loving mine so far - amazing upgrade coming from the OG Droid. ICS is taking a little bit to get used to (I keep long pressing looking for widgets), but I really like it overall.

Well volume can't be any worse than my DInc2. Hopefully it can just be fixed via later software update like it was on my Droid X cause I hear other Samsung phones have great speakers and volume. Or hopefully Volume+ works as well for me as I have read for others cause it definitely didn't help or work on my DInc2. Seams to be my only concern with the GN otherwise I can't wait to get this phone.

The GN is great, but the volume is a huge let down. Missed calls and during a nap I slept through my alarm before work tonight. Thank God for my loud kids. I also couldn't hear the speaker phone.

It's Gggggrrrreeeeaaattt! Seriously, can feel the upgrade from the Dinc. Download speeds are fantastic and very noticeable. Some small things will just need to get used to, like the power button on the side instead of along the top. And somethings that were included with Sence I miss. Trying not to modify too much right away so I can enjoy the Google Experience and give the included apps a good test to see if I really do like them or not.

Not going back, love this phone so far!

I am also coming from Droid Inc running cm7.just ordered my GN tonight as the local store was sold out and not sure about a new stock of them... anyway...

Only worries
Speaker volume with headphones. Still low sounding?
On screen buttons. Not sure how that's going to be..
Ics very different from what is on the Xoom? Way different?
Ill miss the dinc scroll joystick. Not a fan of trying to touch exactly where I want to edit. Oh well..

I really like the phone and ICS but the screen is not up to my expectations. I see striations and lines all over it, mostly when viewing solid backgrounds such as on the settings screen. I'll give it some time to see if I get used to it, but side by side I like my Incredible 2 screen better.

I am happy and can only imagine how much better it will get with future updates.

I remember my NS4G having a very quiet ringer/notification volume. Maybe it's a Samsung thing?

Blackberry Tour < Droid Charge = Huge upgrade
Droid Charge < Rezound = Minimal upgrade
Rezound < Nexus = Giant leap for mankind

No, I'm not exaggerating.

So far, I'm very happy! I'm still learning where everything is in ICS, and am having fun playing.

I really don't have a huge issue with the sound being a little low, as I don't have much use for ringtones or listen to music with earbuds (hearing impairment, so can't hear in stereo anyhow).

But, I am a little concerned about the radio reception. I'm in a very strong 4G area (DFW), and signal strength should be showing much higher than it is. I'm confident that this has been addressed in 4.1 as reported in other threads and articles I've read. So, once that issue is addressed I'll be extremely pleased with the Nexus.

Speaking of updates: An unlocked phone will still receive OTA updates, correct? Or, will I have to re-lock then unlock after an update? I'm new at the phone mods thing...

This. The speaker sucks; totally unusable and the screen is blotchy with all kinds of weird lines and uneven color when display large areas of solid colors ... You know, like when the market takes for ever to load because the device seems to have data connectivity issues ..... even on WiFi.

I really am starting to wonder about all these "tech" people who reviews phones for a living. The screen, and device in general is nothing like anyone has said. What a disappointment so far.

Ive also noticed it shows fewer bars on 4g, however it seems to hang onto an LTE connection much better than my thunderbolt or charge did. Also with both of those devices there were problems with handoffs from 4g to 3g and back and the data just hangs and airplane mode would have to be toggled on and off to re-establish data connectivity. The nexus seems to transition much better as ive yet to experience that where i used to on the others several times a day
