Just got off of CS chat and then called BBmobile and I was told that BB won't price match by BBmobile. They also said they won't even sell full retail in the stores that it would have to be ordered online only. This makes no sense to me. BBmobile also said Verizon available tomorrow.

full retail is a no no at best buy, only one representative told me that they might sell full retail after a few eeks, but she worked in the computer department, not mobile, so i took it with a grain of salt, and plus i want to buy it now.

The tags on their phone displays usually show their full retail price.

I thought Best Buy matches local competitors. It is their store policy. Local one I went to told me they would and that they would sell at full retail too, but who knows for sure.

Weird...I pre ordered one last week, full price from my best buy?

Every time I have gone into Best Buy with questions about the Note 3, I have been given a different answer. These guys are clueless, but I find there was a lack of communication between Samsung Mobile, the carriers, and Best Buy. I will be buying this phone at full retail from AT&T tomorrow.

I have gotten different answers as well. Wanted to get it through Best Buy because I would get $40-50 dollars in reward points, but I'm not gonna pay $800 when Verizon has it for $700.

I was told by BB that they would not price match AT&T. Turned out BB did not offer the GN3 before AT&T pre-orders anyway so the point was moot.

If you were trying to get Best Buy to match Verizon's price for an AT&T version of the phone, then no they won't. It's technically not the same product and mobile is more strict about their price matching policies.

BB: Hello! Thank you for chatting in with Best Buy! My name is Jennifer, how may I assist you today?
ME: Hi Jennifer, I am interested in purchasing the Galaxy Note 3 Verizon for full price off contract, do you guys price match Verizon?
BB: The group we would want to speak with is our mobile chat department. I can directly transfer you to their chat line if you would like.
ME: Yes please.
BB: No Problem! Enjoy the rest of your evening!
ME: U2
BBM: Thank you for contacting Best Buy Mobile Chat, my name is Jayna, how may I help you today?
ME: I am interested in purchasing the Galaxy Note 3 Verizon for full price off contract, do you guys price match Verizon?
BBM: I would be happy to assist you with that, just to be clear you want to purchase the Galaxy Note 3 for full price and want to know if we will price match Verizon?
ME: Yes. I have a bestbuy account and I would rather buy it from bestbuy than Verizon.
BBM: No, we don't price match the carriers.
ME: So if I wanted to buy it full retail I would have to pay 799.99 eventhough verizon sells it for 699.99?
BBM: Yes, unless you could find it lower at a retail store within 25 miles.
ME: So Verizonwireless retail store is not considered a retail store? It is right accross the street.
BBM: Right but it is the carrier and we don't price match the carrier.
ME: Ok.

Trying to get them to match Verizon for a verizon phone.

Best Buy usually has lower stock on smartphones I've noticed around launch day. I've always had good luck with AT&T, can't wait!

So how much do you wind up paying. I am already with Verizon. Sold my Note II to get 3. I have to pay full price but not $800.

Just read through Best Buy's Price matching terms. They should price match the carrier, so long as it is the same identical item (same carrier, same color, same options) and within 25 miles. In your case, since you are price matching full retail (not contract price), they should price match full retail of the designated online retailers as well.If price matching a contract phone, it would have to be the same method (new, add a line, or upgrade). If you get denied at the store, ask to see their price matching terms.

I had an issue with price matching on my Note 2 back in Feb, they didn't want to price match and was giving me multiple inaccurate information on the price matching terms. I asked for a copy of the price matching terms, the guy floundered around for a while, couldn't find it, dropped the issue, and did the price match, even over credited me, allowing me to get the Verizon Note 2 for $37 on contract. The whole process did take an hour, most of the time they were dicking me around, but I was firm about it and got them to PM. My suggestion to you is to thoroughly read their terms so you know how to answer if they give you inaccurate information. Now, if it is corporate policy not to PM the carrier, then ask them to see a copy of that policy.
