Was your Nexus 7 defective or in Perfect condition?

2 16gb units, both defective. First with glass separation and the second with dead pixels.

I picked mine up at Staples on Friday. It has two dead pixels and a very slight screen lift. I have until next Friday to exchange it. I'm waiting until they have some in stock. I don't like the idea of Staples getting to hold onto my $250 while I wait indefinitely for a replacement.

Got mine Monday at Future shop in Toronto, it was the last one and was supposed to be a store demo, only staff had played with it so far and was tested in front of me by a technician and it works just fine. No issues whatsoever

I got mine from Staples on Monday. I love it. Haven't rooted it and don't see the need unless it's to get the landscape orientation. I've had zero problems so far. No dead pixels and no screen lift that I've noticed. Maybe I'm not as picky as a lot of people or not as much of a stickler to details. But I haven't had any of the reported problems with this device, my Evo LTE , or my One X. All three have been defect free.

From staples, not pre-order, just walked in. Perfect condition.

I don't have any glass separation issues and neither did my co-workers, but I've been slightly suspect of my screen being too dull. I can finally compare it to theirs tomorrow, and I'll see if my suspicions are valid or if I'm just spoiled by my GS3

Bought mine last Friday after reading a thread here that said they were at B &M Sam's Clubs. The left side is a little 'spongy' and the screen flickers occasionally. I am trying to decide if it is worth the hassle of exchanging it. I don't know how exchanges work at Sam's & I don't know if they have any in stock

Working fine no hardware issues either, at least not that I see. I did experience the funky screen issues that other people reported but mine stopped after uninstalling a keyboard app I had installed.

I made the mistake of exchanging mine with Staples. Then when the second one had problems too I wanted to just return it and get my money back and they wanted to give me a gift card because of some "problem with their computers". I ended up having to call customer support and they are sending someone to my house to pick it up. So now it's sitting boxed up by my living room door waiting for them to come pick it up while I'm left Nexus-less and they get to hold onto my money.

Mine came straight from Google out of the box with an NFC error, hardware seems decent though
