Washed out colors on display

Hi everyone, I've just picked up my note 8 and my first impression is rather a sad one. When I got done setting up the phone and I was taken to the home screen I'd noticed that the colors are washed out. The blacks are gray and the whites are not as white. I've tried playing around with the display settings but was not able to increase the color depth of the display in any way. All I was able to do is decrease red tint.

I'm moving up from a note 3 and that phone has much more saturated colors which are more in line with how Samsung screens have always been on their phones and TVs.

Really hoping it's just a matter of calibrating the display.

Make sure the Blue Light filter option isn't turned on. Go to settings, display and find it there.

Yeah the blue light filter is probably on. You can also toggle it from the quick buttons on the drop down notification tray.
