Watch TV On Samsung Gear S?

Is there a way to watch TV on the Samsung Gear S?

Can TV be viewed via the mobile browser? Can I watch FiOS? Can I watch Netflix? Anything else?

The browser is simply Opera Mini which requires everything to be rendered on the backend Opera server. Don't trust it can do anything serious. It can't even let you login to any public wifi hotspots (it is not possible with Opera Mini). There is some 3rd party YouTube app but I've never tried because the reviews are not that great.

If it requires you click on some web page to sign in (almost all of them do), it won't work due to the way Opera Mini works.

Bummer. Any chance there's s remote desktop option to play it at home and stream to the watch?

I feel like there has to be some way to do it.

If you gonna write the app, it is possible. No app dev is interested in Tizen development. It is a dead end. The watch's only function is show notifications from the phone as far as I concern. Nothing else. It is not a smartphone.

It also allows for talking on your phone via Bluetooth, there is weather, news, it can control your phone's music, and a web browser. So, that's more than notifications.

Those are the basic functions of the watch and the apps you mentioned were there the 1st day it was released. Unfortunately, there isn't much development as far as apps go one year after its first release. Did you notice how many times I responded with NO to all your questions so far. It is quite disappointing TBH.
