jlczl, when did you buy yours...kinda watching the dates of purchase to get a Idea and do you have a general location, just curious maybe it was a batch sent to the Midwest or north east that was bad. I'm in the south east US..by my name you can figure it out .. lol

Release day which I believe was around the beginning of June. Like the 12th I think.

Bought my s7 active on release day. I have the black one. After reading all these post on water damage I decided to test mine as I have two other back up phones. I submerged it in about 3 feet of water for 30 mins and have had no problems at all. I actually did it twice just not on the same day. I wanted to make sure it would hold up and so far every thing is fine.

What colors are seeing more water damage if any over a particular color?

not enough numbers either way right now it looks like the gold one has the lead I think...there is a thread out there looking for colors...Its just a SWAG trying to get a pattern since they wont give us a serial number series, or date range. Well, I haven't been brave enough to do a sustained test yet. But I did get it kinda dirty yesterday and dunked it in my pool just long enough to wipe the crud off the screen. Didn't die on me. Baby steps, lol...

I had mine on me while washing the car yesterday. It got sprayed once and I cringed but its still working properly. This coming weekend it may get dunked. It will all depend on how often I frequent the bar in the pool.

Hah! Yeah we have a warranty center here in town and I know that even if I got a replacement sent by mail from AT&T it should be here quickly. It's just that I feel like I'm just getting comfortable with the new phone after being back with an iPhone for a couple years. Don't want to spend a day or more setting everything back up in case of failure if I don't have to...
