Waterproof.. absolutely!

Just wanted to brag about this phone for a minute. Friday night I accidentally dropped my phone in our lake by the bank, it's about 4-5' deep there. We tried getting it out with a fishing net about 4 hours later and didn't have any success. Or..so we thought.

Today I had the idea of using a swimming pool net to try and get it out. Stuck the net it a few times with no luck. Glanced over at the bank and noticed the pile of leaves from when we first tried getting it out and I saw my phone sitting right on the edge of the bank! I guess it was so dark that with just didn't see it with the leaves that we fished out. It sat on the bank until today which is 5 days later. It rained really hard yesterday and for at least an hour.

I got it up to the house and started to take the back off to get it dried out and the phone came on... what!!! Right now I have it in rice to help soak up any excess moisture. Best phone ever!!! Now we are thinking about getting some underwater pics in our reef tank with it lol. Hopefully it holds up just fine and if it does..wow!

I've gotten mine damp in dewy grass once and it survived, but I wouldn't dare cance it again
You are one lucky S5 owner
as long as the seals are good on your USB port and back cover I don't see why a little drunk would hurt in still water, but like I said I'm just not that brave to chance my phone drowning

I wouldn't put it in water again. It is not a waterproof phone, it is water resistant.
