Android Central Question

So, I just got an LG Tribute Dynasty from Tello. The phone seemed to have originated with Boost. Anyway, after setup, I keep getting the pop up notification saying that "Carrier Setup Wizard" has stopped. No matter what I do I can't get this thing to stop popping up a few times a day. I go into Apps, but it won't let me disable it. Selecting "Force Stop" doesn't do it. It apparently just starts up again on its own. And then stops on its own, and bugs me about it. Is there a way to get into the backend or something and delete this stupid Wizard app? Please know that I am new to Android, and don't want to "root" it (I think). I don't want to "flash" it, anything scary like that. ;) But is there an app or way to semi-easily get in there and manually delete this annoying app?

Welcome to Android Central! Not sure if this will work, but see if Greenify will let you hibernate that system app.

I'll check out Greenify. Thanks. Is that the only app that allows you to manipulate system apps (without this "rooting" thing?...sorry for sounding like such a noobie, but that's what I am!)?

Not sure I'm ready for developer options at this point. I don't even know how to access them, haha...

Greenify is the only one I'm aware of that might accomplish what you want.

You can activate Developer Options by going to Settings>About Phone and tapping Build Number 7 times. Then go back one menu level, and you'll see Developer Options. Don't worry, you can't really break anything by using them.

Thanks, B. After reading some of the reviews of Greenify, I'm a little wary of going that route, especially since I'm not sure it would even be able to solve this problem. I'm wary of entering a possible swamp to swat one fly. But we'll see. I need to learn more. Still new to Android. Thanks for the tip about dev mode. I don't know if it will help with this issue, but I might play around with it at some point!
