Waze or Google maps for navigation in UK

Do you use Waze or Google maps for car navigation in rural areas of the UK. Which app do you prefer and why?

Google is my default navigator so have little experience of Waze however the few times I have used it (in areas that I know) the Waze routing doesn't seem to be as sensible. This is for both rural and city areas.

Thanks for that feedback. At the moment I am using Google maps and overlaying TomTom speed cameras for road speed limits. I would prefer to use just one app that would navigate as well as Google maps but also included the road speed limits. Hopefully Google maps will one day do this as Waze is also a Google product..

Since you are using TomTom for some things, take a look at the "Sygic Navigation" app. It uses the TomTom maps.

Looks good, but requires car infotainment screen in car. I would need to upgrade my car first, but I will keep it in mind for when I do. Cheers.
