Correct. The screen should light up at first when you get the notification, then go dark. Then it probably won't activate again until you move the phone. At least that's how it sounds.

This model, from what I've read, is for the Indian markets.

One last question. The vibrate function on the Moto G 2nd Gen and also the Moto X 2nd Gen is pretty weak (and has caused me and a friend to miss many a call while at work). Has this been beefed up on the new Moto G?

I believe there are Moto G's that support the following:

• GSM 850, 900, 1800, 1900MHz
• CDMA 800, 850, 1900MHz
• HSPA+ 850, 1700, 1900MHz
• TD-LTE Band 41 TD2500
• LTE Band 2/4/5/12/17/25/26

Because Motorola doesn't make the processors and modems that go in their phones. I highly doubt that the low end snapdragon 410 has every LTE band or many of them. It's not like Motorola decided to disable some and keep others.

Higher end processors often have higher end modems and thus more bands available being able to be used on more networks. These processors also cost a ton more, so it defeats the purpose of what the Moto G is.

And your argument doesn't really hold water anyway. The Moto G is, by far, Motorola's best-selling smartphone.

It is only missing a couple of Verizons Bands.I don't believe it could possibly cost much more for a modem that includes them.The modem is probably capable of those bands but if I had to guess I would say they are there just not enabled.I don't think Verizon would ever allow a phone this cheap to be purchased directly from a manufacture to be used on their post and pre paid plans anyway.

That doesn't answer the question I asked you.

There is no indication of Verizon support in that list. One VZW LTE band is missing, and Motorola's specs only mention Sprint prepaid/Virgin Mobile and U.S. Cellular.

So, again, who said it would be on Verizon?

Are you sure that "all four carrier networks" line applied to the G? I have seen that wording referring to the Moto X Style.
