Weak antenna?

I love my 6P, but my wireless antenna isn't very good for some reason. I use my 6P and my Droid Turbo 2 interchangeably but the 6P gets much weaker reception at my house (around -100dBm) than the T2 (around -90dBm). Overall, reception seems to be a bit weaker wherever I go as well. I'm in the Boulder, CO area. If it matters I rooted my phone and flashed the Franco kernel but stayed with the stock rom, and I'm on Verizon. Does anybody else get weaker reception with their 6P's than with other phones too?

It's currently not a huge problem since I get good enough reception where I live, work, and go to school. However, I do lots of stuff in the mountains during my free time, and I'm worried I won't be able to get a signal up there where my T2 didn't fail me, in case of an emergency.

If anything I get better reception. Coming from a Nexus 6 with moto radios, the 6P blows it out of the water, well for me.
