Weak signals? Previous Samsung owners please chime in.

A little background, I am coming from mostly every using Motorola phones. I have always heard they have the best antennas, but I have never really experienced another phone; until now. My note is wonderful... except for my signal. My signal seems to be intermittent at best most times. And, today I took a 180 mile round trip which, if my Motorola's would drop calls it would only be an instant drop then I had signal again. However, my new Samsung had 1-2 bars most of the way and even had a blackout (if you will) for about 20 miles during part of the trip. Are Motorola's really that much better or could I have a faulty Note?

Yup Samsung phones are crappy for reception. Not much you can do about it. They have problem even connecting to Wi-Fi.
Motorola and Nokia are kings when it comes to phone receptions.

I've had the opposite experience. My Note 2 has excellent reception....no problems what-so-ever. I've even got better signal reception than I had with my Galaxy Nexus.

The op meant comparing Samsung phones to other manufacturers.

I haven't actually had another phone other than Samsung. My last phone was the NS4G and the reception was total cap. So far the N2 is WAY better!

Note 2 is hands down the best Sprint reception I've ever gotten. Clear calls all over my office (which had multiple dead zones on my S2 as well as my assistant's MoPho) and 3g reception good enough to stream YouTube. This is in areas where my S2 speed tested at 30kbps on 3g.

I was worried about the loss of Wimax, but frankly the 3g speeds I'm getting on my Note 2 are comparable and even faster.

Well, I've also had other Android phones by HTC & LG. I have no complaints with the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Best phone so far and I get at least one new phone each year. Also like how you can use the Allshare to connect to Samsung TV's.

No reception complaints here radio performance is best Ive ever had with Sprint.
