Wear 2.0 coming early Q2 says Asus

Well, hopefully they uphold the "early" part so it's only another month. I don't mind the wait if that's what it takes to make sure everything is right.

I find it odd that a device designed for 2.0 won't have it for months. First world problems, to be sure, but it's quite a disappointment.

Do we know of any Wear 1.5 device that's getting 2.0 any earlier? I wasn't expecting the ZW3 to get 2.0 the second it shipped, so I'm not too worried about it.

I just tweeted out to Asus USA since we are now in "early Q2". I'll post back if I get a response.

Don't know if everyone saw this, but Asus accidentally posted that AW 2.0 is coming today. In fact that was a mistake, but then Asus tweeted that it's actually coming at the end of this month.

Saw that tweet, but here we are at the last hour of the last day of the month, and nothing.

So, still no Android Wear 2.0. I've pretty much decided not to stick with the ZenWatch 3, given the rumors that Asus is exiting the market and with this delay giving me the willies about how Asus will support the watch going forward.

I'm trying out the Huawei Watch 2 Classic instead. It's a nice looking watch, more features for more money, not too huge, and so far I'm liking it. It's a bummer though that Asus seems to be kind of dropping the ball a bit on its watch business.

I'm kind of angry I paid $250 on a false promise. I like the watch, but what sold me on it was the upgrade to 2.0. Of course, it's too late to get my money back and look for something else. This will likely be my last purchase of any ASUS product.
