Weather app opens continuously while charging, causing longer charge time.

I've noticed recently that whenever I plug my Note up that my preferred weather app (1Weather) opens. Consequently my phone goes from fast-charging to regular charging. When I close it, it reopens within seconds. How do I stop this behavior. Lifetime BlackBerry user. Crossed over to the Darkside when BlackBerry made the switch to Android. Been using Samsung devices for over a year every since I left my trusty KeyOne on the light rail in Denver.

I'd open 1Weather and go through settings and see if there's something that tells it to "Stay Awake" or something like that when it's plugged in or charging! Then just shut that off and see if it solves your problem (first) then make sure it doesn't create any new ones for you (second)!

Does the app open if the screen is turned off?

Have you tried a new USB cable?

This is an oddball problem, and I'm wondering if the USB cable is bad. That can cause erratic charging behavior and ghost touches on the screen.

Thanks for the help, came back to say I've remedied the problem. The “problem” was buried deep in Advanced settings.

it happens to me too but only because I accidentally touched the edge near where the weather widget is.
