I was wondering the same thing....

And also, is there an alternative Widget that integrates the Clock and weather and has more features to the weather; such as search by zip code.

The weather does seem to be a bit lacking in terms of locations. When i was checking out the phone in the VZW store, my location pulled up fine (I'm in Cleveland), but I was playing with the voice recognition capabilities while in the weather app and said "Seattle Washington" (picked a rainy city). It recognized what I said, but showed "city not found." Is there a list somewhere of cities it supports, or better yet, a coverage map?

Its highly lacking. If you use the "current" location it will find whatever city you are in. But if you search for that same city its nowhere to be found. All in the weather app. Makes no sense really. I remember this being a problem from two years ago when i used my HTC touch. Evidently HTC is under the impression we all live in New York City.

yeah to them apparently long island, brooklyn, queens, and the bronx and staten island are all new york city

Luckily, there are several weather apps you can get from the Market. The two main ones seem to be WeatherBug and The Weather Channel. I'm currently using WeatherBug Elite as opposed to the integrated Weather application, and I have no complaints.

do either of those free apps integrate the clock and weather? if not i might just deal with new york, ny cause it is close enough and i like the clock

Look for Beautiful Widgets....it does clock and weather, but may use the same data base for cities. Use Current Location (GPS) and it will do weather for wherever you are at!

I agree with this Widget being a frustration, I have been playing with it since I got the phone, I noticed it put me at a place called Petersville, about 15 miles away, next to what appears to be a Cell tower, hence the Wireless Network option under Location, but when I switch on GPS, it just says, My Location under the clock.....

I like this widget for the big flip clock, and 3d animations of weather, just get my current location and not the nearest cell tower....

yeah when i activated my location it just said my location under ti so i have no idea if it is pulling it for where i am currently...

even if you have gps and it finds your location it wont display weather data

it would be great if they release an update for this or at least let you download further coverages
