weather updates...manual or timed?

Do you set you weather updates to manual or a timed update? Was wondering how bad it drains the battery. I like the little widget for a quick look at today's current temp.

Also, is there any other weather apps / widgets you like instead of the stock one that came with the phone? Thank you

I use BeWeather. I set the refresh rate at 2-3 hours. Doesn't have much effect on the battery, and there are many additional settings available. Love it!
