weather widget not syncing.

I am experiencing a similar issue to this, except that the sync button keeps unchecking itself from time to time. I can't figure it out. I check it, it stays on for a day or two, then I see that my weather widgets aren't updating, or can't get weather data; I go into the app proper, and the app starts to sync (because I've opened the app), but I check the settings, and the sync button is unchecked again. Very frustrating.

I have had the same problem with my max since updating to kit kat. It just bugs me how it continues to uncheck the sync box. I must admit I wish i had never updated.

I only hve the issue when I set android to use the GPS only to get location, only way I can get it to work is I have it use GPS and WiFi together

Do you have a third party battery saver app installed? If you do make sure the weather app is in the "whitelist" or "ignore" or similar.
