Weather Widget

One of the few complaints I have about this phone is the default weather app widget stinks. There's not a way to increase the update cycle. I often notice it hasn't updated all day.

What are you folks using for weather widgets? I used to use Transparent, but I found it often hung up and required a restart, or other times it would just randomly drain my battery. Maybe it has improved?

I'm using Google at a glance , it's in the stock widgets

I tried that one first, but for some reason it doesn't work. All I get is a gray bar at the top of the widget area. A factory reset didn't fix it and neither did going from TMO build to Global OP OS build.

And Chronus offers a great At a Glance widget. Resizable and looks great.

A app called Another Widget in play store it's just like at a glance but further tweaks you can do and resize.

The Weather Network is one of my favourite apps. Good widget support.

Using weawow currently and really like it. Good widgets, no ads and not a battery drain like some others. Love 1Weather's widgets but it uses more battery than some others I've found.

Let us know which one(s) you choose! A lot of us (myself included) cycle between a few different weather apps.

I just ask Google Assistant the weather when I want to. Weather apps usually do drain more battery than I'd like. And when I'm home I'll just ask my Google home mini.

Yep, same here. I've been burned, in the past, with poorly developed weather apps that burn data and battery. Now I just say "Hey Google..."

Today Weather is my go to. Particularly like it's inclusion of data from windy.com. For simple raining or not info Google assistant is ok but I want more details I want to see maps, especially if I'm going out to paddle where wind and ocean swell patterns matter to me.

I agree, it's a good app for more detailed information.

Sure it uses some battery but I use a weather widget and still have no issue getting 9 hours SOT.
