WebOS converts: "Memos" replacement for the Shift?

Hello,

My wife recently upgraded from the Pre to the Shift, and overall I'd say she likes it. The hardware is so much nicer on the Shift, it basically outweighs any frustrations she's had getting used to Android.

However, one particular pain point has been trying to find a replacement for the "Memos" app that shipped by default on WebOS. For those of you who aren't familiar with WebOS, here is the best screenshot I could find of it:
memos.jpg

It is a very simple memo app. When you start the app, it loads a cork board with post-it notes. You can create as many new post-its as you need, and they'll scroll off the screen as necessary. Creating a new note is very quick and simple, and editing existing notes is just as easy. The app and post-its are aesthetically pleasing, and you can change the color and position of the post-its.

We've tried almost every memo app in the market, and haven't found one that meets the above description. They are either too complicated, too difficult to use, or too ugly :) The ideal app would have all the features of the webos app and have a widget for sticking either the entire cork board or individual memos to the home screen.

I know these are high expectations. Has anyone found a suitable replacement for this app? What is everyone's favorite memo app?

Hello and welcome to AC...I was a Pre user until the launch day of the Evo. There are several replacements for the memo pad although it might no look like that. I suggest you look under notepad in the market but here's a few to get you started: stick note cork&orc, colornote, quicknote, notes. If you go to one app there are always related apps listed and you can go from there.

I have a quick easy answer for you HTC has a widget for that. Go to your home screen tap the + and go to widgets then get more widgets in the list you will see notes download it by taping on it. Once the download is complete assign the widget to one of your home screens. It is a 4x4 widget so it takes up a whole screen so make sure you have enough room for it. Its a nice widget so check it out let me know what you think.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I've looked under notepad in the market, and I've installed many of the apps there. I haven't seen sticky note cork&orc, I will try that.

Thanks for the suggestion! I tried it out, it was a nice widget but not quite what I'm looking for - I couldn't figure out a way to see all my notes at once. You can scroll through them one at a time, but I'm looking for something that you can see all (or a lot) of them at a glace.

The webOS Memos is really good. The closest I could find is ColorNote. Can see all memos at the same time, and has option to make a memo or a checklist.

I use My Notes. Nowhere near as nice as Memos, but serves the purpose. Kind of like Android compared to webOS. Heh.

My fiance coming from a Pre uses a program called Color Notes that she likes. I use a program called Catch, which I like because it also syncs online.
