Weekly Photo Contest: Back to school

This year, "back to school" has taken on a whole new meeting, as my wife has begun to homeshcool my oldest daughter today. It means looking forward to seeing her face light up as she's eager to learn and grow. As evidenced by the crate in the background, though, it also means having to stock up on educational supplies.



As you can see, though, her younger sister was less than thrilled to lose a playmate for a few hours this morning.

Image was taken with my HTC One Google Play Edition (converted from unlocked US Sense variant) using the stock 4.3 camera app, then auto-enhanced with Snapseed app.

Going back to university means meeting crazy professors like my physics professor who climbed up the desk to explain the 3 dimensional space and what effects that has on physics.

Took with my Droid 4. No special apps. I walk to school and there yards full of dandelions, but this one stuck out because it looked like an unique flower, but really was a dandelion soaked by the rain that day.

As it says in the caption, all I'm missing is a pair of new earbuds and I'm ready for school. I took the picture with my Nexus S using the new CM camera app, Focal and all I did was use HDR and change the scene mode to sunset. I also used MS Paint to add in the caption to the picture.

We homeschool our children, which entails a lot of life experiences and nature studies in addition to the typical studies. This is a picture of my youngest experiencing a giant fish at the zoo's aquarium. I believe it is the first time she ever saw one, I caught it at just the right time. The Girl at the Dock

This is my take on the "Back to School" theme. This photo was taken on my Samsung Galaxy S3 and added a bit of saturation and increased the temperature using Samsung's photo editor.

My girlfriend and I were studying at the boat dock at our school. The school is right next to the river, which makes it the perfect scenery for this shot.
