I live in a semi-rural town in North Devon, Southwest England. I'm enthusiastic about photography, which is handy because this area of the world can be very picturesque.
It seems almost obligatory to have a DSLR these days, but they are cumbersome, heavy and expensive to carry around. I needed something more convenient and I was due an upgrade so I plumped for a Sony Z1 (on it's release day). For general use, it's capable. The 20 megapixel compact sensor does make for a noisy composition, so I don't usually use it in low light situations. There are exceptions to this rule.
The image above is one such exception. A sunset taken on a whim, this is the view 20 seconds from my home.
Graffiti Bridge is an underground POP icon of Pensacola, Florida. For decades graffiti artists have made their marks on the bridge crossing 17th Avenue.

I live in Pittsburgh, the city of bridges. This bridge in particular is just outside of the city (about twenty minutes). It's near an abandoned train yard. There is only one structure standing still, part of a round house. This bridge was renovated and has now become part of the 400 mile Great Allegheny Passage, connecting Pittsburgh to Washington DC. Taken on the S4; post production completed with the stock app.
If anyone's interested in more of the photos I have from this location, shoot me a quick message!

We have some of the most boring road over the creek bridges ever seen. I thought I was going to have to settle for a Bridges Rd street sign, just as boring. Then I thought about the several resin cast castles I have packed away. A lot of work to see if I had one with a draw bridge. Then I was looking at my Mom's resin cast cottages, mentioning I was looking for a bridge, when she said "doesn't that plaque have a bridge in it?" It sure does and here it is, a souvenir from their trip to England. Taken with the Moto G, edited with Photo Editor+ to deepen the colors.
