I took my wife and one of my daughters out to the lakefront. There are these old abandoned piers; makes you wish you could see them during their prime..

As I dropped my daughter off at Church /Day school This day school is now closing. As I saw the empty parking lot and the playground I wonder what life is next for this little piece of concrete. This picture was taken with my LgG2 and edited with Snapseed hdr scape
Taken Naturally with the Samsung Galaxy S3 (Verizon). No editing, untouched.
This was taken @ Peninsula College in Port Angeles, WA while we were getting acquainted (instructor's idea) with taking pictures and video of things outdoors from multiple angles using different approaches to lighting for our multimedia class. Concrete water fountain which water was the theme for the school year (2013-2014).
Lots of natural concrete (aka rocks) in the fountain as well as a big huge one in the middle of it! The water trickles out of the fountain down the concrete sides with textured horizontal ridges to slow down water and give a cool visual effect. One more last thing is listening to the water trickle out which is amazing.
I was at the Zurich airport when I saw this contest...ZHR is almost all concrete inside. I snapped this with my Motorola Droid MAXX and applied the Litho filter.
