Weird display issue. Is this normal?

Do you have developer option enabled? I changed the animation to 1x and it shows it on my wife's S7

You're right. I had changed my s8+ animation to .5x right when I got it. Just changed it back to 1x and I see it on the s8+. So I enabled developer options on my note 8 and changed animation to .5x and I don't really notice it now. Thanks!

yeah man I noticed it with all AMOLED screens... It's actually a great feature that saves the screen from damage..I freaked out when I saw it on my...sigh...Note 7 (RIP) but I asked a rep that came into my store... Glad I could help

I was goofing around an set mine to 10x oh my it was wicked looking how slow the it was lol.

Ok, just when I was satisfied this wasn't an issue after setting animation scale to .5x. I couldn't see the screen go to black and white anymore just like my other Samsung phones. Then I noticed this. I have 3 pages set up on my home screen, 1 to the left and another to the right. When I Swype left everything transitions smooth but when I go to the right page it is jittery. I have a Google widget on that screen which I noticed a odd black outline around it that I had never seen before. I decided to delete all the widgets from that screen and then put them back. When I did this the Google widget lost the black outline and looked normal again, also transitions to that home screen was smooth now. I then tried turning the screen off and couldn't see the black and white anymore. Everything was as it should be. Advance a few hours later and the jitter and the black outline returned. I turned off the screen and can now see it go to black and white again. Repeating the steps above fixes it again, but only to return a few hours later again. I will post a picture of the widget to show the normal than black outline that forms later. This don't seem normal at all

I suspect you'll continue to find things wrong with it. Your decision, but I think you should return the phone.

I see what he is saying, it is like a very fast change to black and white as the phone yt?turns off. I didn't see it at first, but when I did it a few times, bam, there it was. I don't think it's a defect, but it is weird.

The whole thing just seems really odd. I bought it directly from Samsung with the Note trade in offer. Returning would probably be a nightmare

I bet it has something to do with the always on screen that has to be it. I'm going to turn off the always on screen and see if that fixes it.....
