Android Central Question

I have a onePlus 6t and every time I go into an app (Fb, IG, etc) and want to select a picture to post, it shows pictures of ads for games and stickers and even my friends FB profile pics! How do I turn this off? I have to scroll just to get to my actual pictures and it takes forever to find them.

Welcome to Android Central! Those are images that some of your installed apps use. The problem is that the app developer neglected to add a ".nomedia" file in the directory where the app saves those images. Determine which directory those images are saved to, and use a file manager app to create a blank text file called ".nomedia" (without the quotes, but with the leading period), which should hide the images in that directory from the system when it scans for images to add to the gallery database.
