I rooted my phone during a spare few minutes at work today. Very easy thanks to gbhil's how-to. Thanks for that. Well obviously I want to set up the SDK on my home computer too so I can tweak from home. The SDK Setup.exe won't launch so I can install the usb drivers. It pops up a command box for a split second then closes and thats it. I have tried everything I know to do. rebooting, making sure I am admin, turned off all firewall..etc. Nothing works. Does anyone know what is up? Has anyone had this issue?

Open a command window in the SDK/tools folder

type in SDK Setup.exe and tell us the output (if any) in the command window.

It tells me : 'SDK' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Is it the space in the file name causing a problem while in command prompt?

It looks like the usb driver is the only thing I need "SDK Setup.exe" program for. Is that driver available for download somewhere?

I found my issue. SDK Setup.exe launches a java app and I didn't have java on my home pc. Working fine now.

Great. Sorry I didn't get back with you sooner, I got pulled away this morning and had to go up in the mountains and help a friend out of a ditch lol.

Nice troubleshooting skills btw
