I had my phone in my hand looking at something while sitting in a chair. I rotated the chair and it made a small unexpected movement. This movement made the phone dislodge out of my hands and while the floor was carpet it bounced a couple times.

I had nilkin cam shield case one and upon inspection there was no physical damage.

But now when I take a picture using the main cam lense there is a black spek on the lense.

Urgh

Oh, no! How awful! Have you tried wiping the lens to ensure it wasn't just dust or a smudge? Do you have any kind of phone insurance?

This is out of focus, so it's not a sensor issue, definitely on the lens. You mentioned you have a camera protector? Is it one of those that have a film/glass on top of the lens? If so, chances are there's dust or the protector dislodged itself and can't 'stick' back down. Removing that and cleaning the lens should fix this (but, also, chances are you'll need a new protective layer)

I have no protection on the lens. Here's a better representation.

I guess the ois has got damaged or malfunction...iam sure u can claim warranty and get a replacement...
I have dropped my Note 20 ultra many times..but with a case ...luckily zero issues...

reminds me of when my note 8 had the glass break over the camera lens- out of nowwhere- maybe from being put in bag on a flight, I don't recall. They did fix it, still have it- one of my favorite phones.

I'm not confident that's damaged from the accidental drop to be honest.

As mentioned it's possible to drop actually dislodged debris already caught up in the sealed camera module.

I'd definitely venture down the route of warranty.

I was walking down a hallway at work today looking through secure messages app and fingers got twisted. Flying my phone went. Managed to get a foot out to sorta soften the blow but it landed on side edge, went face down on concrete floor and flipped a couple times. I was cursing but amazingly no apparent damage. Have the Samsung clear case with stand. It is a bit slippery the more I use it, but protected better than I imagined it would despite minimal bulk. Will have to check camera out after your post. Did not think to check that.

Hope you can figure something out for your phone!

Lucky you! My drop wasn't too bad. I was sitting down and the floor is carpet. Didn't have any physical damage. I think the above mention is right debris got loose.

The good thing is I am still within my return period. So returning it but I don't know if I'll buy again soon. I am on my note 20u and I really don't want to go through setting up a new phone plus installing the screen protector.

With the S22 Ultra, I can imagine the mirrors, sliding mounts and motors for the periscope zoom lenses would be delicate. I dropped my old Note 9 a number of times, all hard drops too but with no damage. The regular S22/22+ would be ok but extra care needs to be taken for those of us with the Ultra because of that periscope zoom mechanism.
