As for announcements, VZW and BBY need to work together and release an explanation since it seems a miscommunication between the two has led to this debacle. I wonder why everyone is targetting VZW only and not demanding a statement from BBY. Not that VZW is off the hook but technically BBY should be responsible for this fiasco they created with their print ads and their feb 7 announcement/news.

your right, they should have said something BUT, it is VZWs phone. they are who is ultimately responsible for EVERYTHING pertaining to the phone. BB not releasing anything also just confirms to me that the problem was strictly with VZW. you know the old addage, if you cant say anything good, dont say anything at all.

PS. the statement, while nice, is almost to little to late! why would they not have released this statement 7-10 days ago? nonetheless, the statement does go a long way with making me feel like they actually give a ****! just wish it was given a while back before everybody's emotions (mine definitely included) got out of hand.

I agree with you - to a certain extent. I know it is VZW product and they have done a very lousy job at damage control. I don't know what's going on between BBY and VZW but once you let someone else sell your product you are still responsible for it. I agree there.

But since it is Best Buy that first went public with some sort of announcement coming straight from them (not rumors, although a specific date was not given they did say mid-February in an official news release). So the first line of responsibility falls with them. At the same time, VZW should also should have said something when all the rumors of various dates were flying around and ppl were getting frustrated. That is why I said VZW is not off the hook in my last post. But I would hold BBY responsible first and then VZW, not the other way around. But it all depends on perspective. I am not saying I am right and you are wrong (or anybody else for that matter) or vice versa. It is just my point of view.
