went into test mode now have screen problem

I went into test mode to check battery life per one of the threads. i then messed with the lcd backlight in test mode. now screen very dim, went back on to try to correct, it worked was bright for a min. or so but then right back to being darker again, you can see the screen just very dim. On regular tools checked backlight brightness it is at full. Any help in correcting this would be greatly appreciated, i love this phone but this will be a problem

also went to test mode but cannot get it to exit test mode and boot normally ....any advice?????
