Went to bed with 79 percent charge and woke with 1 percent charge. Please advise

Damn. My battery life has gone to **** since downloading oreo. I cant get more than ~ 1.5hr of screen time.

I installed oreo on my brand new 6p the day I turned it on. My battery hasn't been like blow your mind Moto Z Play type battery but it also keeps a charge just fine and seems very typical even with Oreo installed. I hope since my device was still brand new sealed in box meaning it has never even been turned on that in theory my battery should still roughly be brand new too and hold up to that of a typical battery life span. Would I be correct in my thoughts on this. Keep in mind I bought my 6p from an individual who bought it direct from Google but never did open it up nor ever uded it in any way. So I'm thinking that my battery even though the phone is around two yesrs old but since it was still sealed in the box that my battery could not have just degraded due to there not being any at all daily wear and tear to the battery. Correct me if I'm wrong here as I would very much like to know.

Are you using Action Launcher? If so try uninstalling it and see how things go.
