2nd T-Mobile store: "Do you have the Vibrant on display?"
- "nope"
Man, where do you guys go to see this phone?
Neither of the strip mall T-Mobile stores I tried had the phone at all and didn't know much about it. The third one I tried (in an upscale mall) only had one unit which they kept in the back and had just enough battery charge for a 5-minute demo before it shut itself off.
I was really hoping to compare The Sims 3 on the Vibrant versus on my Pre, just mainly out of curiosity![]()
How did it feel in those 5 minutes?
Heh, it was certainly lighter than I expected, and once it finished booting the screen was remarkable. It refused to play Avatar (low battery) so I couldn't really run it through its paces. The main things I got out of the experience is that:
- Touchwiz ain't all that bad!
- Very comfortable in my palm, moreso than the Evo, especially when comparing the power button placement

But of course, the Behold ii was sitting right on top of the front pedestal...again.
I'm scared to thoroughly demo the AT&T version. Chances are I would end up walking out of the store with one.![]()

Yeah, I currently have a Sense Phone, and will be switching to this over the Evo. It will be weird, but I can't do AOSP Roms. I know they are snappy and work just fine, but I can't get used to it as a Daily Driver. I didn't get that feeling though, with touchwiz. Its pretty enough to deal with, just like Sense. And hopefully, everything works, unlike Sense 2.1 on my Hero (Facebook sync, I'm looking right at you!). I'm tired of the network dropping every night and having to put in Airplane mode to reset it. I love my phone, but it needs to be put to rest.
Hmm I didnt see any lag with the demo I was using. Eitherway Im hoping that the epic has the newer firmware and wont be laggy like some other galaxy phones have had.
