With the standby not being significantly higher than original HTC One then what are expectations in battery life compared to the Droid Max, Lg G2, and Note 3?

Simply looking at standby time I am disappointed.

Is the power/wake button still on the top? It's annoying on my HTC DNA so I can only image what it would be like on this behemoth.

How responsive is the fingerprint reader?

I like the positioning of it as I think it would make sense in how you hold the device but what are your first impressions?

Is there a SD Card slot?

Will the US (Sprint) get the 32gb version? I'm thinking that we have no clue yet, but the USA is getting a poor record of getting the smaller memory version phones.

Which is more responsive, the One Max or the Note 3? The Note 3 has the 800, but I've also heard reports of lag and stuttering due to TouchWiz.

How is the audio/music playback quality through headphones, compared to the Note 3 or the iPhone?

Is the SPRINT variant single band LTE or Tri Band LTE?

This could be the big way (pun intended) that this phone can topple the Note 3 because specs wise, it can't compete.

Is the reader on the back also a button like Apple's fingerprint reader?

Second question - is the IR Blaster on the top a button?

Edit: Third question - How does it fit in your pockets? I noticed that my N7 actually fits into all my pants pockets, but I could definitely tell it was there. That is a much larger device (even though the screen is only an inch smaller) so I'm wondering if you have reservations putting a device this large into your pockets.

discounting the display occupied by the menu, HTC, back button, what is the real display size? Doesn't look 5.9" to me.

can it use 64gb micro sd that is formatted on exfat or ntfs?

No. Power is on the right edge now.

It's pretty responsive. No delay when swiping down it to unlock.

Yeah, there's an SD slot. US will apparently get 32GB versions. Mine is European 16GB.

How is the camera?
Same as the HTC One Mini, which in late 2013 is kinda disappointing. More in the review: HTC One Max review | Android Central

The Note 3 is slightly more responsive. That's not to say the Max is slow, but Snap 800 phones seem to have better touch response.

Single band Sprint LTE according to the spec sheet I have from HTC.

1) No, just a reader
2) No, just an IR blaster
3) It fits about as well as the Note 3 does. The curve means it doesn't bulge too much ? at least no worse than the Note 3 does.

What are the speakers like, Alex? Are they louder and more powerful than the one?
A little, yeah. Though remember there's no Beats support on the Max.

It's really 5.9 inches.

Would this be a worthy upgrade from the DNA or should I wait to see what the 2014 HTC One will be like?
Tough question. If you handle the size, go for it. But IMO the HTC One is a better phone than the Max. Or, as you said, wait for what's next. But there's always something better on the horizon.
The most import question for Sprint owners.. Is this going to be Tri band?

Yep. I'm using an exFAT-formatted 64GB card with mine right now. Dunno about NTFS.
