What am I doing wrong with do not disturb?

I set do not disturb to turn on at 9PM, and allow phone calls and text messages through from starred contacts.
All good until I missed 2 phone calls and a bunch of texts from someone who is starred. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. Any ideas?

It's possible your settings were all done correctly but you didn't actually turn it on.

Did you pull down the shade and tap the circle with the minus sign in it and turn it blue?

It had to be on if he missed the calls.

Was your phone on vibrate or silent

Definitely not on vibrate or silent.

I have a similar issue, and it has happened several times now. Do Not Disturb reverts its settings back so Alarms, Starred Contacts etc are not allowed even though I specifically set them to be allowed.

Good thing I usually wake up before my Alarm goes off, because it has now several times not made any sound because Do Not Disturb had reverted the setting!

I am also having issues with do not disturb. I set it to allow starred contacts. It forgets the setting. And sometimes when I set it at night to "until I turn off" it turns itself off.
