What am I doing wrong with Facebook App ?.

Last 12 hours, Facebook app has sucked 63% of battery life on my Android phone. worst thing is most the battery life was drained in the background while the app was closed.
I even tried Force stopping apps. which does not help.
any suggestion pls ? .

Thank you for replying, I am using Samsung S7 and Facebook comes preinstalled. Should unable it and use the browser version ?. will that help ?.
