What and where is the "Browser".

I've been asking for help on other topics, and the responses refer to the Browser, ie. in browser select menu...", and I do not find the options that are supposed to be there.

The browsers I am familiar with on my pc are IE, and the various Mozilla based browsers and suites, and I know how to get to them on my computers. Apparently, this phone is different. I have been getting on the net and saving bookmarks on my HTC EVO 4G by selecting the icon in Apps. that looks like a globe and is labeled "internet". Respondents tell me this is not the browser, but haven't told me what or where is the browser.

So, can someone clear this up and tell me what and where is the "Browser" on this phone ?

That is the browser HTC just renamed it to "Internet". What settings are you looking for?

EVO has its own built in browser when you click on the globe or when you google something, you can always go download the free version of the Dolphin HD browser in the market place. Hope this helps.

Yeah, it should say something like "browser" or "internet."
Alternatively, there is a highly regarded browser going by the name of Dolphin HD that you might like. Only browser I use. Didn't have anything specifically/drastically wrong with the stock browser, but someone recommended Dolphin HD and it felt immediately right. Check it!

edit: alt browser (dolphin hd as well as others) are found in the market.
