What Android Keyboards are you using?

Done! Installed the BlackBerry manager app, and then the Keyboard through the app. Yay!

Thank you!

I got it installed as well. But it wasn't as totally straight forward. It couldn't find the keyboard in the play store. It isn't as intuitive as the Samsung keyboard. But it is quite large keys.

You wouldn't normally see it in the Play Store because it's not available for non BlackBerry phones.

You also don't update through the Play Store. But if an update is available, the BlackBerry Manager will show it's available and update from there.

For me, all I really want the BlackBerry Keyboard for is the swipe up feature from the next letter for predicted words. So far, it's the only vkb app that does that. All others line up the predicted words above the keyboard itself, and that's just aggravating.

And, that's only because I had a BlackBerry Z10 with the same swipe up feature for 4 years, and after first switching to the Samsung S8, I felt a bit lost.

Part of the reason I love SwiftKey is for the Sync, since I use it across more than one device. So much easier when the keyboard is the same or as close as possible across them. I also love the fact you can chance the keyboard characters response time, as I have my keys dialed in for much faster typing, consistently faster in selecting secondary characters on the keys. I prefer a dedicated numbers row, as well. ✭<Adding text characters like this is a bonus, along with the keyboard replacement shortcuts I missed from the old BlackBerry phones I broke in on. Being able to share links and such with just a few characters and the spacebar was sorely missed for a long time.

I use the stock Samsung keyboard, Gboard and SwiftKey (rotate between them). All three work well for me.

Gboard has a sync feature just like SwiftKey.

Swiftkey is nice, but the typing sound are terrible and lack of the spacebar cursor movement puts it behind Gboard. Gboard word suggestion and auto correct are lacking.

I used the BB keyboard a lot after I got rid of my KEYOne (what a slow turd!) and got used to it and enjoyed it. When i got the V50 I forgot how to install it and lived without it for a year. I was talking to my buddy and he reminded me about it, and I grabbed the BB Manager APK from my SD card and installed it then the keyboard. Man, it takes some getting used to after being away from it for a while! The layout of the symbols especially is very different from Gboard.

Using the stock keyboard. I don't really need a lot of shortcuts and things like that, so stock suits my needs.
