As topic. Do smartphones need a firewall or anti-virus program? What anti-virus or firewall program do most people use?

I don't think you really need it, as long as you stay away from sketchy websites and downloads. You're the best anti-virus there is
I used Lookout but I didn't seen any benefit from having it, no viruses even without it installed

I have also used lookout in the past, but I did not feel that having yet another app running was worth it, as I am very careful about sites I visit, and where my apps come from. Stay off the sites of questionable legality trying to sell you "Free" apps, and you should be fine.
