What are good launchers for battery life?

Re: Favorite Launchers

I've read two different internet reports it's a leg nova launcher is more efficient on battery power than Google now launcher is. What makes it more efficient battery power though?

It's not actively sending all your data to Google all the time?

Unfortunately, I met another article online, that said that noble much as a bit of memory RAM leak and consumes more running memory. Is that true? I know we have enough RAM to go around but I don't want to lick rim due to a launcher if you know what I mean. Then what do you mean by not always sending info to Google? Not sure if I can get over that whole swiping to the left for Google now cards though. Lol.

Re: Favorite Launchers

I was just joking. I don't know that Google launcher sends everything you do to Google. That would be what some call FUD.

I mean don't get me wrong, I understand more customization of the launcher but also take some more running memory RAM then the Google now launcher dollars so I'm just trying to figure out what the huge advantage of it is. I think for now just stick with the Google now launcher it's less of a footprint simplified that is customizable its okay I suppose although it does seem like everyone on the forum use the nova launcher.

Understood. If you don't want to tweak things like icon packs, fonts, gestures, and be able to have layout backups then you may not need Nova Prime and will be fine with Google's launcher. I'm sure it gets the job done.

Re: Favorite Launchers

I couldn't get it to work with Nova so I just put a power button widget on my home screen that I can tap to turn it off.

For right now currently, I'm back to using google now launcher which I'm honestly content with. I do wish I could universally change all icons at once the look and feel of them but its not a big deal cuz I love my Google now cards page way too much lol

Re: Favorite Launchers

Does anyone know if it is possible to get the knock off feature to work with Action Launcher?

Yep, but it would be under the shortcuts menu (double tap empty space), which requires the plus upgrade.

Launchers are pretty good but how does it work with the battery? What does a launcher do to the system ? Just replacing the old OS ?
