What are the 10 most frequently used apps on your 6p?

Hey cpaight. I haven't used ScoreMobile in a few years. When I last used it I had a Blackberry. Scoremobile was extremely laggy and was a battery hog. Can you please tell me if you see the same, or is it a quite satisfactory app. Thanks!!

GC

dude the score is awesome. they have a feature called "my score" where you can customize and add your fantasy players which is pretty cool. definitely the best sports app on Android and works well with 6.0

At least half of these are repeats from above but here you go!

  • Nine (Exchange mail app)
  • Textra (SMS app)
  • Gmail (duh)
  • Google Music (subscribed)
  • Press (consolidates blog posts/RSS feeds)
  • Pocket (for saving and consolidating articles I find on Press or the web)
  • Metal (the best Facebook and Messenger app replacement out there)
  • Digical (calendar with multiple views and widgets)
  • Truecaller (caller ID)
  • Newsbeat (reads news aloud from multiple news sources)
Metal and Newsbeat are my best finds. Newsbeat can be buggy though.

I use a Nexus 6 and not a 6P, but I'm going to chime in anyway since the phones are cousins. ;)

1. Youtube- a must for me. I subscribe to many channels and use Chromecast a lot.

2. NFL Mobile- I'm a football junkie (besides tech stuff)

3. eBay app- I buy and sell a lot of stuff, so I need to be in touch with what's going on.

4. SiriusXM- awesome for music and news.

5 through 10 are just some regular stuff. But the ones I mentioned are my most used.

In no particular order, here is my top 10 (not including apps that are pre-installed).

Textra
TypeApp
Instagram
TheScore
SwiftKey
Nova Prime
Android Central
Business Calendar 2
Spotify
Lastpass

Last but not least ... Android Central!

do any of you use creditkarma?

I have it on my phone, it's a cool concept.

so whats the difference between the regular text messaging on the phone and then hangout, it seems redundant?

Its pretty redundant... I use Hangouts only since it also serves as a chat/IM function and can also receive calls. The messaging app has a familiar layout to a traditional texting app and it's strictly for texting only (someone can correct me if I'm wrong).

The one big thing with Hangouts is that it's an enhanced connection where you can see when the other person is typing, when they are "online," etc.

However, I use a separate SMS app because it has more features than Hangouts for texting such as:

  • You can change font size of the threads
  • You can set themes/colors for individual contacts
  • You can set individual ringtones for different people
  • You can have it repeat the notification x number of times (this is the big one for me!)
  • You can do group messages (although I'm not sure if Hangouts also lets you do this?)
  • It is more likely to be cross platform in the sense that none of the iPhone users I know really use Hangouts
I see them as different. BTW - I use Textra.

Ignoring pre-installed apps...

Nova Prime
Twitter
Lightflow
Tunein Radio
Feedly
WhatsApp
SofaScore
Pocketcasts
TV Show Time
Android Central

For me:

1. Nova Launcher
2. Messenger (texting)
3. Fenix (Twitter)
4. Instagram
5. Facebook
6. Words with Friends
7. Google Camera
8. Fitbit
9. Photos
10. Balance my Checkbook

No, because annualcreditreport.com provides everybody with a free credit report/score once per year and it's sponsored by the US govt. Unless you suspect fraud, there's no reason to continually check your credit score, cause each time you're doing so, your score takes a small hit.

I'll let this screenshot do the talking. This is Action Launcher's Quickdrawer showing apps sorted by most-used.

does the person you text have to be using the same text messenging app for everything to work? Ive never heard of hangout until recently and just assumed everyone used the basic messenging app that is on their phone didnt realize people could download other 3rd party ones
