So, I bought my first tablet yesterday... Acer Iconia A500. I work for bestbuy and after weeks of researching and testing out other tablets in the store, i realized that this tablet is just amazing for the price... It is just a responsive as anything else out there right now.

SO.... as a new owner, I need your help... I want to know what the best apps are for a tablet and why?

any help would be awesome, thanks guys, and I am looking forward to getting to know all of you owners as well :)

MX Video Player. It plays every type of file I've thrown at it so far. mp4 up tp 720p mov up to 720p avi mpg up to dvd resolution. The only thing I haven't tried yet is mkv. You do need to install codecs (there's only three) to get this functionality. The only thing it didn't play well was 1080p mp4 and mov files. There's a free add-supported version and a paid ($5!) version. At least they say the free version is add-supported. If they're there AddFree Android must be blocking them.. :)

I love the new dolphin browser specifically built for tablets. Its called Dolphin for Pad. Works better than any browser I've tried

I just started using sync sms. Its not exactly instant but they have a Google push option being tested by a few people and when it comes out it will be awesome. Don't have to go between phone and tablet to txt. I tether my tab from my phone so its great for me
