What are you upgrading from for the Droid Prime?

Giving my Thunderbolt to my mom since she can't afford a $200+ phone and I'm taking her upgrade. Ah the advantages of being the account owner.

OMG, this is brilliant. I've been holding out on the SGS2 to see what this phone has to offer. But, I completely forgot I had a 3rd line for my mom (who has a feature phone she never uses). Ooooh, the possibilities!

Upgrading from Droid X. ApeX 2.0.0 RC3, overclocked, and tweaked galore. Done just about everything possible to it to work on my android development, and of course make an awesome phone even better =)

But with the specs of the new phones coming out, and the temptation of a stock version of the next iteration, I want the prime. haha
It'll be great for development though too! I may actually keep the droid X for a while after it to continue hacking it. After that, I'll most likely either give it to my brother or sell it to a friend that needs a phone.

I will be upgrading from my OG Droid. The shear magnitude of this upgrade might leave me dazed for a week.

As for my old little droid buddy, I'll probably keep it in remembrance of the two years it loyally served me.

still debating whether I want the Nexus Prime or iPhone 4S. I'll be upgrading from the LG Optimus V so this will be a massive upgrade for me either way. I'll be leaning more towards the iPhone if the Nexus doesn't come to Sprint because I don't see the need for 4G if I'll be capped at 2GB (not paying $120/mth for a phone). Also, still worried about the future of app development/gaming for android. It's still got a long way to go it seems.

I will be upgrading from a Droid Charge. Been a great phone and kept it longer than I expected, but its Nexus time!!

Droid Incredible, EVO's Gingerbread ruined this phone for me. My phone does not have a 4.3 inch screen, nor does it run on Sprint. Buid from a base. Don't kang from another device, HTC.

I'm upgrading from a Thunderbolt. My mom is looking for a phone, so now I can sell my Thunderbolt and pay the difference for a HTC Rhyme without giving up my upgrade. Much cheaper like this anyway. And yes, she legit wants the Rhyme. :P

Droid Incredible > Droid Bionic > Droid Incredible .... > Nexus Prime
Keeping my Droid Incredible as a backup.

Droid Incredible
been a awesome phone especially since running OMGB on it but I am looking forward to not "having" to root to get vanilla Android. :) gonna keep my DInc as a backup/media player/let the kids play with so they won't EVER touch my Nexus! at least until I'm getting my next phone and use the Prime/Nexus/Galaxy as similar bait. :)

DInc. I've had it since release. Love this phone still to this day. I would actually keep it, except that the constant low memory alerts are killing me. Those alerts are plaguing DInc's, yet there's never been a fix. It essentially disables my Google email until I clear the cache on EVERY APP to get the alert to disappear. Until, of course, it comes back a week later and I have to repeat the process. But for this issue, it's still a perfectly wonderful phone. It's tempting to follow up with the Vigor, but I'm hoping the Prime lives up to most of the hype.

Those alerts were driving me crazy. I ended up installing CM7 and no longer receive them.
The RAM still continues to get low, but it can now run without the alerts.
I've been using the Fast Reboot app to quickly gain by my RAM.

Im gay for this phone, but I'll buy it for my wife to replace her og droid. Then if it lives up to the hype, I'll get one to replace my thunderbolt, which has only one problem. A LOUSY microphone for recording videos which is huge for me. I'll give away the og droid to a friend. Probably will keep my thunderbolt as a backup.
