What are your current gripes with the Pixel / XL?

Not to my knowledge. On my pixel, if I want to, say, jump to the email in Gmail from a notification - I have to double tap it. Same if I get a text, need to double tap to view the text in Messenger. It's been this way for me since the Nexus 5. Some non-google apps may require one click, which is where there is potential for confusion. For example I have a weather app that keeps a constant notification up - if I click it once it launches the app, but anything google related needs a double click. WhatsApp needs a double tap as well.

Thanks, it works on my HTC10 too. Always wondered what the point of a notification was if it didnt open up the app...

I would have liked to see a front flash, doesn't come in handy too often but it'd be nice to have occasionally.

I'm not sure if this is an Android 7 thing or was just a Moto tweak. It in my turbo clicking once in the notification tiles would turn on and off the function, hold to get settings. The pixel you click once to open and then turn on and off...kind of annkying but not a big deal.

Should have come with wireless charging, but I don't mind. I never used it on the turbo (liked knowing it was there Incase the charge port broke).

I think it's a pretty wonderful phone. I have a 32g black XL

Moto's are the king of signal. I get about the same signal as my previous phone had but as long as it can hang on to it, which so far has not let me down I don't care how many bars are showing. I don't pay attention to that too much. Speaker is not the greatest for me but not the worst one I have ever encountered either. All in all I am happy with my purchase. I am sure google will be taking notes and paying attention to what people may expect and may want and hopefully build from that in the future

My Nexus 6 has a weak signal; My LG and Samsung both had much better signal.

What stuns me is how rarely users of the Galaxy phones that migrate to Pixel (or really any other Android OS phone), or vice-versa, comment about the 'back' and 'recent apps' button being in reversed position relative to Samsung's placement. That would bug the heck out of me...
That's cause Pixels position of back and recent buttons is the correct one

Samsung fans are loyal. Almost to the degree of Apple fans IMO. Personally, I think an allegiance to one particular brand or OS is very limiting. It's a great big smartphone world, and there is a lot to experience.

As far as the back button location, I moved to Samsung for a while and had a hard time with THEIR button placement lol.

Yeah when you run on a platform that has 100's of other devices available and your versions are the only one differing on a major configuration it's your devices fault not everyone else's. I get that Samsung is the biggest Android manufacturer by a super large margin. But If anything they are doing it wrong.
