What are your favorite available Watch faces?

You can get some really nice faces without doing a subscription. Honestly, there are also some really nice ones that are free, but some will disappear after a certain period of time.

I turned off ad notifications from the app to my phone, because of the ads it would generate, but after that it's one of my top apps for a Wear OS device.

Do I have to install Google Fit for the steps counter to work on the Marine Commander face?

Yes, although I was willing to do it and even installed but wasn't able to get the watchface to read the step count. Not sure maybe I should've done a reboot of the watch. I just changed that complication to show barometric pressure and the screen tap of it to open Samsung Health and I'll instantly see health info.

I also gave up quickly on getting it to work, because I'm afraid of running Google Fit in addition to Samsung Health and compromising battery life. No one who's using GF seems to answer me when I quote and ask if they're noticing shorter battery life running both fitness apps simultaneously.

Check this one out through Facer. It's free and has a neat functional compass. Also, the AOD of this face is a cool luminous hands effect.

Haven't run it too long, so can't tell if it shorter because I'm installing apps or because I'm running the two simultaneously.

Hate to bog down my phone/watch with facer. Are they still dumping tons of ads and crap on you?

Hate to bog down my phone/watch with facer. Are they still dumping tons of ads and crap on you?

I just got a facer notification I have facer on my phone but didn't use it much on my A2. It just had me pick 3 watch faces so I did and then it said I needed the companion app and it said it wasn't compatible that my watch didn't support it. Then I went to the play store and it showed me compatible with and it's downloading to watch. I never really used it much before. I have paid for a watch face or two on an occasion same with themes on my phone. I want a phone and watch theme to match but I saw a cool Halloween one for a $1.99 that I may buy later on. I still am loving my Bitmoji face and now I went back to AR Emoji one.

They will try, but the first one you get, do a half slide on the notification in your pull down shade, then tap the gear icon and the particular notification Facer is using to push ads can be toggled off. Then you won't be bothered by them any further.

Ok so I am still playing around with watch but I love AR Emojis and then I have BitMoji app too and you can have it animated on certain snapchats. So when I finally figured out how to get Bitmoji I went from it and AR Emoji back and forth. AR one is cute it points at your notification orange dot and tries to grab it and dances when your playing music on your phone but only shows date and timeI think didnt see customize. Bitmoji changes everytime you flip your wrist but you can customize it which I added weather steps and messages but than it doesn't change. I just wish the font was bigger. And I had something on my A2 Photo Wear but this had a watch face and it took you right to your gallery and I added one of my cats to one. I did try this other animated one that came with but haven't downloaded any new ones just yet. And you can screenshot your watch face which is cool to me. :-)

Edit: Oh and I did find out you can customize the AR Emoji with 4 shortcuts so it's my favorite now.

How did you take screen shots on your GW4?

You can use that watch face with Samsung Healthy only as a counter. No need to install Google Fit

Yeah, I found that out recently, but forgot to come back and post. I was impressed that you can select from all values provided by Samsung Health including heart rate, steps, blood O2, etc.

I missed the part about tapping the current complication value and scroll down to select 3rd party apps.

Just saw this. How do you get the steps to count on the Marine Commander face without Google fit?

When you go into settings, tap the bottom complication (or whichever of the 3 you want to be steps). Tap the very first option at the top of the list, them scroll down and select 3rd party, then scroll down till you see Samsung Health options. They're all in there to choose from. After that, back out of settings and you should be in business.

As a side, I also did this to the top left to select the same weather as on the watch tile. I also moved the phone/watch battery indicators to the new weather complication. When I tried to use it with steps, it made the steps so small I could barely read it. That's because the step count will have a border around it as well and it fills in blue as you reach the daily goal for steps.

Current setup:

Cool, just upgraded to premium. How's your battery life? I'm using watch battery complication instead of the weather like you. Otherwise very similar to yours without chaanging the text i the top complication.

Thank you so much for that, your a life saver. I'm getting too old for all this crap :-\

Battery life is pretty good, I think. I brightened up all of the min/hr and number markers for aesthetic purposes, which may have increased drain, but still it's fairly dark watchface so it is easy on battery compared to so many others.
