What are your favorite cases for the Galaxy S6?

I'm sticking with the Poetic Revolution case over the Spigen Tough Armor and my Defender. The case is under 20 bucks and the built in screen protector at least on mine is miles ahead of the Defender. It flights tighter and more flush with the phone with little gap in between the case and phone so the touch screen is VERY responsive and the screen is really clear as well, better than using a traditional stick on screen protector and is a lot more clear than the Defender. Also since it doesn't have a gap dust doesn't get under it as easy as the Defender screen protector. I just wonder why we don't see these cases in stores. I only found out about the Poetic Revolution because of some of the tech websites.

I think the protection level on a drop would be almost the same as a Defender, maybe a slight edge to the Defender due to it being a bit thicker, but this case is more sleek and the rubber seems harder and not as flimsy as the Defender that sags over time.

My only complain is it is a bear to get the case on and off even harder than the defender. But I don't see any reason to take my phone out of it until I trade it in next year.

You can buy two or three of these cases for the price of one Defender.

You probably don't find them in a store because they aren't from these big name companies. You won't find ALOT of cases in stores for most phones, even flagship phones.

As far as the drop protection compared to the defender, that's really open for discussion. If the other rubber is harder, that's more shock being able to be transferred into the device.

Other than Otterbox and the Griffin Survivor there are not many rugged cases out there for smartphones in the big box stores like Best Buy, Sams, Wal-Mart, Cell phone provider stores etc. ATT stores seems to have a bit wider selection of cases since the have the Pelican case for the S6 and IPhone but one drop with the Pelican and the case will usually break due to it being plastic. Most of the other cases being sold other than Otterbox, or just general cases like Speck Candy Shell, Tech21, Incipio etc. Granted on a basic drop unless your device hits an uneven surface I think it will survive. My dad when we went out to eat a couple months ago being how he has health issues and not steady on his feet stumbled in a parking lot due to a pole not being completely removed from the ground. His s5 fell face first onto the pavement and he had one of those 30 dollar best buy brand cases that doesn't cover the power or volume rockers but does have a bit of a lip. The case along with the basic Zagg screen protector and not a scratch or crack on his phone.

Hell there is a guy on youtube who is rich or something and was testing out a bunch of IPhone 6 cases from 50 foot drops and in most cases the phones were still in one piece even in a Otterbox Commuter. Granted that is way overkill. I don't think most people are looking to sport the super thick cases I see but buy the basic cases like Speck Candyshell, Otterbox Commuter, or Incipio.

However then you have people like us who own like 4 or 5 different cases and buy the toughest cases because we are power users. I've had a total of 7 different cases for the s6. This phone the cases it's hard to find a perfect one. I liked the Spigen Tough Armor at first but after a days use my hands were raw from the sharp edges so I took the ZAGG glass off and went back to my Poetic case which fells sexy in the hands and better response with the built in protector.

My past phones I did not have this problem but with the new S6 design imo the case designers all how to modify their designs to an extent and this is the first galaxy series I've had troubles finding the perfect case until the Poetic. If the Poetic fails on me I will probably just go back to one of my Defenders and put up with the crappier screen protector but at least the phone is protected well.

For the first time ever with any device, my S6 slipped out of my hand and fell about three and a half feet onto my concrete driveway. It impacted on the bottom left corner and landed face down. I cringed in horror for a moment. Thankfully my trusty UAG performed exactly as I'd hoped in such a situation and prevented any damage. Didn't even scuff the case. Whew!

Glad to hear there was no damage.

I just got my S6 from Costco (t-mo). It came with a free otterbox commuter case (and $50 costco card). I'm not diggin' it much because it is solid black, but it will do just fine until I find the set up I want. I've decided to go with a skin and a clear case. I would like a clear case with good corner protection, thick enough to protect the camera lens and with enough lip on the front to insure the phone won't pop out. Anyone have one that has been working well for you? I've looked through the threads and saw a few pics posted of some but I'm wondering which of you are still liking the one you chose and if you feel it would protect from a drop of 3-5 feet? I don't intend to drop it but who does, right? :)

Just went there in post #752, above. ;)
Love it more than ever as a result.

I tend to get spigen cases a lot, they have at least improved on customer service and shipping, sadly a lot of the upper level cases never get made for non-iphone devices which sucks, but that is what it is. Shooting more for minimalisitic cases to avoid bulk.

my s6 will arrive tomorrow
i have ordered an UAG case for protection (i have one for my s4 and i love it)
and a spigen neo hybrid for style :-*

I ended up ordering a Spigen Ultra Hybrid and a LUVVITT clear grip. I'll keep the one I like and send the other back. I like the UAG cases but I didn't see one clear enough to show off a colorful skin.

Here is the LUVVITT Clear Grip case. The ridges on the side make it easy to grip and hang on to. The diamond plate pattern on the back is actually on the inside of the case. I it seems pretty sturdy and tough on the corners so I do think it will protect it from a fall. The corners are raised enough for added protection it if drops face first. The lip around the camera is raised a bit too so there won't be any chance of the lens being damaged. I'm hoping the skin I got for it will look okay with that pattern on the back.

I worry a little about this yellowing over time but at $7.99 I don't think I'll cry too much. ;)

all transparent cases get more or less yellow over time but as you said at 8 quid no loss :)
maybe you can wash it when it gets worst ;)
