What are your favorite cases for the Moto X Pure Edition?

Just installed the Otterbox Defender on my MotoXpe. Man, its GI-NORMOUS now.

Covering up all that goodness in the equivalent of an M1A2 Abrams set of tank armor.... Bummer....

I ordered a clear case like linked in the thread with buttons not covered up. Also some non glass, clear screen protectors.

I hate it. I'm so careful with my devices, yet I have had too many near misses with this one already. It was just a matter of time before it hit the ground and broke. It's SO slippery.

That clear bumper case makes it look trashy.

Can people post photos of their cases? whichever ones they have? particularly those that have the white/bamboo combination...I'm having a hard time deciding...I dont want anything bulky...and something that will not completely take away from the look of the phone.

I'm also hoping for a better bumper case. Supplied bumper is OK but is too hard and slippery. I'd like a softer bumper for a better grip on a large slippery phone, even with the soft touch back. I prefer not to have the case cover the back because of the added bulk, and covering the attractive back of the phone. A soft clear bumper works for me.

Mediocre is being terribly kind. More like horrible, terrible, bordering on pathetic. Now hopefully in the next few weeks there will be some good options. Incipio is one of the few companies that has quality cases, although their cases don't seem to interest me. Casemate has a bumper in the works at least. Seidio has said no and a few others have as well. Speck/Diztronic/Cruzerlite, etc. come on step up to the plate.

Hopefully the mainstream case manufacturers are only waiting to see how well the XPE sells. If interest from consumers is high enough, hopefully one or two of them will jump in and make some of the cases so many of us desire. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Understatement to be sure.

But sales volume drives product development. Even after a year the number for items available for the Moto X (2014) is still limited in comparison to the sales leading phones from Samsung and iPhone. Part of the problem is Motorola's slow release of sales data. But a bigger part is this phone is not going to attract the customer who doesn't want to have to do much of anything. I doubt the fact that it is not being sold by the carriers is a significant sales factor. Prior models were not displayed well or pushed by the sales staff.

I ended up getting this one. Got the same case as on my Nexus 6 and it's well made, provides much improved grip while adding little bulk.

That's the Supcase on amazon. I had it on my slippery M8 and it was my favorite. A very good choice for those that are shopping.

If I was a case manufacturer I'd make a couple of really good cases and then charge out the arse for them. But I'm a greedy capitalist.
