What are YOUR impressions of the Pixel 3/3 XL?

Haven't been to Best Buy yet so I'm excited to see the new screen. I think it's OLED this time. I'm also excited about the Night shot, the selfie zoom, and the call screening.

My only impression is the pricing of the smaller Pixel at $799. That is just...insane. I have bought the Pixel 1 and Pixel 2 and will not be buying the 3. Enough is enough with contributing to the greediness of corporate America. Honestly it was bad enough paying $650 (although I have been utilizing the T Mobile $325 credit so I got it for $325). A 23% increase is tough to swallow and I was truly stunned seeing that price bump.

Yep too much of a price increase too soon for what is still a niche phone.

I was thinking of going that route. I actually prefer a clear skin but I'm not seeing any for the 3XL yet

The Naked wraps from SlickWraps are awesome. I have one on my phone and I get people telling me "wow, you are brave for not using a case". Granted, I still am not using a case, but I do have scratch protection at least. And it looks and feels awesome.

For me, I am upgrading from the first Pixel. I was torn between the 2 or 3, but wanted to wait for the announcement. After seeing everything,I decided to get the 3 in basic black.

In regards to the topic, I think this is a good device for someone like me, who hasn't upgraded in a while. If you already had the 2, I can completely understand waiting for the 4.

Yes. That's the one I would get.

Oh nice. I have the financing card....it's so tempting to preorder. Are you currently on the pixel 2?
No I'm on a V10 down from a V20 contemplating the V30 and V40 so you can see the theme here.lol This would actually be my first non LG phone,if I get it, in the last two-three years.

I am excited for the camera and display improvements. Should be a great phone, though will admit probably worst looking phone released this year.

Meh. I'll read the reviews when the actual phone is available, and consider getting one in a year--maybe--if I need to replace my Pixel 2. Nothing in the features attracts me, but I might be interested if the camera proves to be exceptional. I'm quite happy withe Pixel 2 and see no compelling reason to get a new phone, plus the price! Frankly, I'm beginning to think my next phone will be a midranger, particularly if I can find one with a metal or plastic body and a decent camera. Prices are getting insane for a device that I could drop in the ocean, lose, or break very easily. None of the AI stuff is helpful, except for possibly the camera enhancements.

I always prefer the smaller versions of phones if available so I'm glad they shrunk the bezels of the Pixel 3 without adding a notch. I don't mind a bit of bezel. In my opinion the regular sized Pixel 3 is the best Pixel yet form factor wise. I can't wait to get mine.

Its a solid phone, I like some of the software features and the camera looks great but it's not feature rich nor is the hardware anything to talk about. For 1k I need a device without compromises and that's why I got the note 9.

I'm not exactly thrilled about the glass back due to my butter fingers. I also wish Google would release the phone in mor colors and I can't understand why they don't. They seem like the perfect company to play with really bright colors.

Personally I'd definitely invest on the smaller pixel over the XL. Unfortunately I'll have to wait to get this phone. I can't afford it at its current price. :'(

I think it's a good upgrade from my Pixel 2 XL. Better screen, newer processor, newer version of the back camera module with more dynamic range, new wide angle lense on the front in addition to the regular one, wireless charging, louder front facing speakers and the Titan security chip.

What's not to love? Some may say that notch but not me.

I like what I see and what I heard, but I cancelled my pre-order. I just can't spend that kinda of money on a phone any more. Until something comes along that is truly innovative, I will stick with companies like OnePlus.

FYI

Google Pixel 3 XL with the notch hidden by software. Currently in developer settings, but my guess is it will be in standard settings in an update https://t.co/qPfse1zCTs https://twitter.com/qbking77/status/1050029860171776007
