what beer will you be drinking while you play with the TB??

No offense, but I thnk that stuff tastes like pure ass! Limes should only be put in Coronas :P

and that's only because Corona tastes like piss, but I guess piss with lime is better than piss by itself, and I would choose piss by itself (Corona) before I'd take a BL Lime.

For me, the TB release is a big day, I still have a BB Storm, so I'll be drinking beer that I have been saving for a good occasion that I brought back from Belgium.

la fin du monde

Good choice. Anything from Unibroue is a great choice. Another great Belgian style brewery in the US (I know Unibroue is in Canada) is Ommegang. I think it is better than New Belgium. That being said, any Belgian style ale is a great choice.

Downed some Stellas and seeing what the scoop is in TB-land... ah, no release date - of course.

I love how we've resorted to a beer thread to pass the time ;)

Agreed. You don't fruit the beer. Corona is the first thing off the top of my head. I can't think of any other beer I'd ever put a pime in. I even know some people who put it in Bud Light? WTF? It's like the perfect steak... if its perfect, it needs no sauce to add to it. Take it how it is. Boomskies.

I didn't like Yuengling when I tried it, but most of the other beers I had over there were very tasty. As far as corporate beers, I'm a Smithwick's man. That's the beer that got me drinking beer.
Yuengling is just a staple. Priced the same as your standard Miller/Bud varieties but immensely more tasty. Oh and there's the whole 'America's oldest brewery' thing that gives you an extra touch of enjoyment. (As for Smithwicks - I get it everytime I'm in an Irish bar.)

Soooo many good microbreweries around Seattle
Definitely - the northwest is a haven of ingredients. I explored Portland but want to go back and experience Seattle.

Indeed!

Chimay. Yum. Or a Troegenator. Or Troegs Mad Elf (if I have any left). Or Greak Lakes Burning River. I love them all!

I'd drink some Yuengling if I had any, or a Blue Moon or a Killian's.

I can't drink right now though because I'm on a diet till mid-March... so hopefully I won't be drinking any beer when the TBolt releases!

I'll be drinking "Merlin's Beard" with my Thunderbolt. It's a brew made with Unicorn blood, delivered once a year by Santa Claus. I'd like to keep up with the Mythical creatures theme.

Guinness is my usual go-to beer, but I think I'll change it up a little. I'm going to be enjoying a delicious, creamy Boddingtons.

Oaked Arrogant Bastard Ale - good anytime
Long Trail Coffee Stout - tried this for the first time after skiing in Vermont. Perfect winter beer.
Southampton Double White - good during the summer.

If you want to explore, (and I'd suggest everyone take the 3.5 hour trip from Seattle or Portland if they have an opportunity) There is a great little brewery in the south end of the Yakima Valley (you've heard of Yakima Valley Hops haven't you?) called Horse Heaven Hills Brewery. I have never been to a place where I literally liked every one of their beers, and there were something like 10 different kinds. Amazing hole in the wall.

I'd say take your girl there for a wine tour, drop her off and head to the brewery :)

Well I'm not waiting on the TB, but I'll drink a Good People Coffee Oatmeal Stout for everyone that's eagerly waiting. Great beer from a local brewery based in Birmingham, Al

Cheers!
