What can I do if both my phone and computer aren't detecting my SD card at all?

I have a 16 GB Micro SD card that I've been using for several years. Today, it just stopped being detected to my phone (Samsung Infuse 4G). I tried using a card adapter to connect it to my PC but the computer didn't detect it either. It isn't like the adapter isn't working because i tried it with another SD card and it worked out fine. Is there any way to access the files on the SD card even though nothing detects it? I really need those files back because I have lots of photos with my family overseas. Thanks!
