What case are you using.

I am rocking the Ballistics SG MAXX here. White with the graphite grey. Wanted a Griffin Survivor but none available at this time.

Im picking up my S3 tomorrow, I ended up ordering two cases from Amazon for it.

A thin grey Incipio Feather case for most of the time at work and home. A black/black Acase superleggera pro dual for when Im hiking or doing any outdoor activities or if Im going to a party or concert etc.

As of now I do not intend to put a screen saver on it, but I might change my mind on that.

I'm still looking for a case with a holster for the times I need one. I am not partial to Otterbox - anyone try the Ballistic MAXX - how is the plastic cover? Is the screen still responsive?

I have the Maxx and the OB Defender. The Maxx screen protector is extremely bad. The Defender screen protector is good enough. If you go with the Maxx, buy a different screen protector. I emailed the company, they sent me a replacement screen which was still bad, but also said I could use any other screen protector and the case would still work well.

Other than the screen protector and the fact it makes your phone look like a dog bone, it's pretty good.

Instead of that incipio which doesn't cover much of the top and bottom of the phone from what I see, you should of gotten a Diztronic/Cruzerlite TPU case since they DO cover the top and bottom with the same slimness form factor!

White with gray rubber side grips case mate...with a kickstand.

I did look at the Diztronic and It seems fine, I just liked the way the Incipio looked and it's for home and work anyways.
For the most part the S3 is going to be sitting on a desk or end-table (both areas are carpeted), so Im really not too worried about falls, Im more concerned about scuffing on the back of the phone from it sliding around my desk.

Im currently not sure which case to get, I got the phone and i bought a ballistics white and grey case. Its OK but the rubber sticks to my pockets which is really annoying at times.

Does anyone know if the OB defender is all rubber outside? I want some good protection but not a case that pulls out your pocket and everything in it.

1) Gorilla glass is a well made glass.
2) This does not mean anything other then it is just a form of reinforced glass.
3) It can and will be scratched by keys, coins, small particles like dust, sand, and even jello for that matter.
4) It can and will shatter if dropped. Dependent on how it hits the ground.
5) Its not indestructible and was never meant to be.....Its just a stonger glass with the purpose of limiting or to help prevent damage of cheaper old glass...and plastic screens that scratched much more.
6) Bottom line....put on a screen protector or deal with the risks of not having one.

That being said I (IMO) would highly recommend a gel case. :)

I'm not a big fan of hard cases...from my experience from drops they don't protect against vibration or shock well at all. I'm also not a fan of the foam like cases...as they get worn very quickly, and attract dirt.

What I am a big fan tho, are these gel cases. They are inexpensive, are great on vibration or shock, handle wear very well, easy to clean, doesn't stick in you're pocket, and are nice to hold. Easy to put on...and once on....stays on.

Here are a few pics of the one I have and a amazon link below of where I bought it.

Where are my OB Defender converts? How can you be comfortable with a bumper case especially with the risk of cracking the screen resulting from a full face drop? I realize that it is a matter of preference but protection trumps fashion. The Defender does not add that much bulk and still fits in your pocket. I carry a mine in a holster though. The rim around the screen will reduce the impact of a full face drop.

A heads up about the Ballistic SG MAXX, the screen protector is a issue. It is thick and sets up off the glass and causes you to have to press it down to activate touch screen. Other than the screen cover the case is pretty nice. I am thinking about removing it and going with out a screen cover. Also if you wear polarize sunglasses the cover look like a rainbow.

The case I'm using I found on Amazon for $3 iirc. I believe the seller is called Buy World. The case is 3 pieces. It's a 2 piece snap on case with a rubber case that wraps around it. It even comes with a kickstand. By far the sturdiest case I ever purchased

That's what I was afraid of. Going to try the Seideo Convert. I really don't care for the Defender either.

I'm going to get the trident kraken....i have had the aegis for the infuse and loved it...kraken seems to kinda like an otterbox in a sense to me

I'm using the otter box defender.. It feels awesome in the hand. Not too much bulk I need the belt clip so it's perfect. One thing I would change about it is having to press the lock button hard to use it..

But overall I love it. Has a nice grip to it its not like the commuter

Picked it up from best buy

My Otterbox Defender finally arrived yesterday from Amazon.

So far I am liking the feel of it, but not caring for the screen protector. Not sure if I will take it off or not.

The feel of the screen protector is great, but the smudges and viewing the screen through it leave a little to be desired.

I'm using the Ringke SLIM Lite from Rearth. It's matte black and my phone is blue. I love it and highly recommend it.

I'm using the Incipio Silicrylic hard shell case (black/grey). Pretty nice case and the silicone liner is thin enough to make the volume rocker and power buttons respond easily. However, the liner is NOT very tight..the edges along the side of the phone are able to roll back with moderate effort.

I'm hoping that the OB Commuter reviews improve WRT stiffness over the buttons....I would switch in a heartbeat.

Exactly why I won't use a Defender.
